Advance Orthopedic and Sports TherapyApply Now
Our mission is to provide the highest level of physical therapy care and rehabilitation services to the people of the Merrimack Valley.
About Us
At Advance Orthopedic and Sports Therapy (AOST), we’ve been helping people move better and live pain-free for nearly 40 years. We are a patient-centered outpatient orthopedic clinic serving the Merrimack Valley community. Our mission is simple: to provide exceptional, hands-on physical therapy that prioritizes quality, connection, and professional growth.
What Makes Advance Different
At AOST, we’ve built a practice model that protects what matters most to physical therapists — time, autonomy, mentorship, and professional pride.
- The 40-Minute Treatment Model
Every patient receives a full 40-minute one-on-one session, allowing you to deliver hands-on treatment, analyze movement, educate, and build rapport without distractions. There’s no high-volume pressure, no double booking, and no tech-driven shortcuts. You get to practice the way you were trained — and patients feel the difference. - Mentorship That Actually Happens
Structured weekly one-on-one mentoring for the first three months, then bi-monthlyhelps you develop clinical reasoning, confidence, and expertise. New clinicians are eased into caseloads, paired with experienced therapists, and encouraged to co-treat, observe, and learn collaboratively. - Diverse Caseload and Specialization Pathways
Our patient population spans general orthopedics, post-surgical rehab, spine, sports injuries, and pelvic health. Clinicians are encouraged to develop specialties — manual therapy, women’s health, sport performance, or functional movement — with full support for continuing education. - A Culture of Collaboration, Not Competition
Therapists share patients, ideas, and accountability. Co-treats and case discussions over lunch are common. Colleagues support each other clinically and personally. Our environment is professional, fast-paced, and fun — without burnout or bureaucracy. - Cutting-Edge Technology for Efficiency and Evidence-Based Practice
We provide the highest level of technology to support documentation and the implementation of evidence-based practice. Our systems streamline your workflow, reduce administrative burden, and allow you to focus on patient care and clinical decision-making, not paperwork. - Growth and Stability in a Respected Local Practice
We’ve served the community for nearly four decades. Our reputation is built on results, relationships, and word-of-mouth — not marketing gimmicks. You’ll work in a respected, stable environment where your work is valued, and your input helps shape the clinic’s evolution.
What Our Team Says
“AOST has been a wonderful company to work at. The staff and the created work environment are always positive, collaborative, and supportive. The fast-paced environment with a wide range of orthopedic patients we work with makes each day fly by. I value the one-on-one treatment sessions and the dedication that is fostered for all patients in the clinic. There are too many things to list that make working here a pleasure.”
— Rebecca Herlihy, PT
“Working at AOST is great from a career development and work-life balance perspective. Everyone is collegial and willing to discuss a case at lunch or during downtime or help hands-on when they can. Co-treats, seeing a patient with another colleague, are not infrequent. If there is a safety concern, colleagues drop what they are doing and help. I never feel unsupported. We are also supported with a Medbridge subscription, which is a convenient way to continue learning; when we implemented a new documentation software, we were given hours of paid training time and regular follow-up meetings since. My caseload is extremely varied within my practice area, and I still see new things regularly, even after almost 20 years of practice. My managers are supportive and flexible with scheduling, sick days, and work-life balance. I’ve been here for four years and am happy and grateful to be part of this team.”
— Julie Bosworth, PT
